The Winnebago City Odd Fellows, Lodge #30 and Rebekah Starlight Lodge #11, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows will be hosting an event on this day.
The event is to recognize the following March Proclamations issued by the Sovereign Grand Lodge.
- The Schyler Colfax Day Proclamation is to honor his untiring efforts to provide a Rebekah Degree of Odd Fellowship in 1851 for women, a strong statement for women during that era.
- The Arthritis Proclamation acknowledges support to their program.
The public is invited to a meal of Mulligan (beef) stew, cake and ice cream served for a free will donation. Monies collected will be matched by the lodges and a donation made to the Arthritis Programs.
The meal starts at 6:30 PM with a brief program at 7:00 PM featuring history of the Rebekah Degree and Arthritis facts.
